Cultural Exchange and Partnership

The Japan Afro-American Friendship Association, JAFA founded in Tokyo Japan in 1981, is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting cultural exchange and understanding between the African American community, Japan, and Africa. Our mission is to foster cross-cultural dialogue and education through language and cultural programs, educational exchanges, community events, and business partnerships.
We strive to create opportunities for bicultural children of Japanese and the African diaspora to connect with their cultural heritage and develop a deeper understanding of their unique identity. We also aim to support economic development by promoting business partnerships and opportunities between our communities. Our goal is to promote mutual respect and understanding between cultures.

日本アフロアメリカン友好協会 (JAFA) は 1981 年に東京で設立された、アフリカ系アメリカ人コミュニティ、日本、アフリカの間の文化交流と理解を促進することを目的とした非営利団体です。私たちの使命は、言語と文化のプログラム、教育交流、コミュニティ イベント、ビジネスパートナーシップを通じて、異文化間の対話と教育を促進することです。私たちは、日本人とアフリカ人のディアスポラのバイカルチャーの子供たちが、彼らの文化的遺産とつながり、彼らのユニークなアイデンティティをより深く理解する機会を作ることに努めています。また、コミュニティ間のビジネス パートナーシップと機会を促進することにより、経済発展を支援することも目指しています。私たちの目標は、文化間の相互尊重と理解を促進し、より平和で調和のとれた世界を創造することです。
